This is the 5th edition of the Stav Church Christmas Ornaments and features the Lomen Stav Church in Valdres, Norway. It was built around 1176.
This church was probably designed by the same architect who created the Borgund Stav Church. Over the past 820 years the church has grown considerably, but throughout it all the artwork and artifacts have remained intact. In fact, several of the church's tapestries are on loan to museums in and around Oslo to be studied and appreciated.
Each Limited Edition Ornament is made on a 2.5" flat porcelain disk and hand decorated in delicate Scandinavian Blue and White.
